Our first radio broadcast was on the 7th October 2007 during the 2007/08 Great Recession! 15 Years later, CyberFM has been providing great music to listeners all over the world, especially music not normally available on mainstream radio stations. We are an online radio station network that can be listened to via the official website https://www.cyber-fm.com or by downloading mobile applications from either the Google Play or Apple iOS App Stores.
In April of 2018, CyberFM was thrilled to announce their entry into the Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) sphere. A dual-token ecosystem was created, for all listeners and artists, by initiating two ERC-20 token assets, CYFM and MFTU, on the Ethereum blockchain — and we had NO IDEA what was about to happen!
As we fought blockchain issues over the years along with gas fees, we also needed to fight meme pool attacks, hacks, and social engineering. Centralized Exchanges took advantage of transfers, created outrageous fees outside of our control and even created bots that scraped pennies in every transaction while selling low and buying high. (You remember them? ;) right?!) Twelve of the fourteen exchanges we were listed on, are gone today. The two left, might as well no longer exist.
Today, being in the industry has taught us many valuable lessons.
To react to several of the situations and with the blockchain being immutable, it caused us to continue to release different versions of the CYFM token. Security enhancements, usability and distribution control amongst many other features.
As we continued to make users complete during each migration over the years, some users missed important deadlines. Some didn’t understand the utility of the token.
